Shawn Yue works on Guillotines

Saturday, October 22, 2011 Posted by Admin 0 comments
Shawn Yue Man Lok two nights ago attended a Salvatore Ferragamo media preview opening ceremony. Lok Jai recently has been working with Ethan Juan (Yuen King Tin) and Huang Xiaoming on the film GUILLOTINES (HUET DIK JI). In recent years Hong Kong male stars all fell for Mainland women due to their looks and figures. Lok Jai said, "I haven't run into anyone with a great figure but I want to, because they (Xiaoming and Siu Tin) already have girlfriends. (Did you ask Huang Xiaoming to introduce you to anyone?) No! If she is right and we can communicate, I wouldn't mind. The most important is being able to communicate with my family. Otherwise she will just be trouble for me."

Tsui Hark and Jet Li reveal secrets

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Tsui Hark and Jet Li (Lee Nin Kit) two days ago held a Beijing University forum to promote their 3D wu xia film FLYING SWORDS OF DRAGON GATE (LUNG MOON FEI GAP). Lee Nin Kit who everyone referred to as "Boss Jie" sentimentally said, "When Tsui Hark saw me on the set and called me Kit Jai, all of the emotions came back." Lee Nin Kit not only revealed the origins of the "No Shadow Kick" and Tsui Hark's action designs but also said that he and Tsui Hark discussed over 20 years of perfect fights. After the 3D production, the perfect action finally took shape.

At the event, they also revealed secrets. Lee Nin Kit said that they have actually known each other for over 20 years, but have not worked together for 20 years. When they saw each other they had a relationship that was beyond description. When the official shoot began, Tsui Hark suddenly called him "Kit Jai" and he could not be more moved. "Now everyone calls me Boss Jie, only he would call me Kit Jai. I immediately felt like we went back to when I first met him. The chemistry from working together before gradually returned."

In the eyes of many, Tsui Hark was film industry giant who stuck to his own style and dared to innovate. Sometimes people would think his ideas were mad. Lee Nin Kit said, "Madness and madman only differ by a few letters, but successful madness can lead a trend." Tsui Hark is the classic example of successful madness.

You Are The Apple Of My Eye opens on top in Hong Kong

The Giddens Ko directed Taiwan film YOU ARE THE APPLE OF MY EYE after 10 days in release in Taiwan broke NT$200 million. The film reached Hong Kong two days ago and opened high on a non holiday with HK$1.39 million, defeating the 530,000 LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE (DUET MING GUM) and foreign films. Cinemas saw YOU's strong momentum and rapidly added shows over the weekend.

MY occupied 50.6% of the Hong Kong total single day box office two days ago. At the same time it also defeated its "compatriot" and Taiwan film box office record holder, Wei Te-Sheng's CAPE NO. 7's Hong Kong opening box office of 328,175. The To Kei Fung directed LIFE WITHOUT PRINCIPLE actually already made 1.17 million including advanced screening.

Currently at the 24th Tokyo International Film Festival, Giddens Ko and the cast were very happy about the news. Giddens Ko said, "Thank you everyone in Hong Kong, oh my ma! Hong Kong viewers truly have too much love!"

Raymond Lam no fear of less chances after TVB & HKRIA settles

Posted by Admin 0 comments
The other night, Raymond Lam attended Switzerland's Ernest Borel 155th Anniversary Celebration held in Shanghai. Recently he has been in Beijing shooting for new film Saving General Yang. As the shooting location is on a desert, the sandstorms are tremendous. He is already used to eating at the desert, but he will still have to scrub his face clean. Since he has to wear heavy and hot protective armor for the shoot, Raymond joked his muscles have stiffened quite a bit.

Regarding the TVB and HKRIA royalty dispute is currently at the critical point of breaking the ice, Raymond said: "Good thing, I hope to collaborate with other singers as well, to be together under one roof." Asked if he's worried his chances will decrease after the settlement? Raymond said: "I am not a singer because I want awards. Also, regardless who wins the awards, there will be voices heard, so why not just have a more lively atmosphere then."

Aimee Chan's strange 'underarm scar', got a boob job? Moses Chan defends: Don't speak nonsense

Posted by Admin 0 comments
A few days ago, Aimee Chan had a bra-revealing scene in Forensics Heroes III. This led to a heated discussion among Netizens. Aside from comparing her to Fala Chen's bra-revealing scene in 2009's The Stew of Life, Netizens also discovered Aimee had a strange 'scar' on her underarm. This led to speculations that she once had something done to her chest (boob job). Her boyfriend Moses Chan clarified that the 'scar' is just the lines on her underarm. Moses made all effort to defend Aimee. He said: "Don't make up nonsense!" Generally, Aimee's bra-revealing scene was well received by audience. The Broadcasting Authority received 1 complaint yesterday regarding the scene having an erotic component.

Aimee participated in Miss Hong Kong 5 years ago with a 34D cup size, which got her the label "soup bowl chest". At the time, she did have rumors that she got a boob job, but she already denied. Recently for a scene in FH3, she had to appear in her bra. It was seen she had a satisfying body figure and it was a feast for the eyes, but that wasn't as eye catching as the underarm 'scar' she had. However, overall Netizens commented that Aimee's reveal was pretty healthy, so the next day no complaints were received. It was only until yesterday that there was 1 complaint.

Recently, Aimee and Moses have been a huge hit. Earlier they were spotted cooking together at home, revealing their close relationship. Moses couldn't bear with his girlfriend's body figure being questioned, so he voiced out to support her. Yesterday afternoon, Moses attended the Hong Kong Girl Scouts anniversary event. He was asked about his girlfriend's bra-revealing scene. He laughed: "I haven't seen it, but I heard the ratings are high. She is the healthy type, I give her 100%! (Do you mind?) As an artist, it's hard to avoid sexiness, I don't mind, I even revealed my butt before. I pay more attention to the story/acting, she greatly improved! (She has a scar under her arm, its speculated that she's done surgery!) That's just the lines under the arm! Don't speak nonsense!" Towards the Netizens comparisons of Aimee and Fala Chen's bra-revealing scenes, does he feel Aimee beats Fala? He said they are both good. For Aimee, besides the sexiness, she also did a healthy reveal.

Jessica Hsuan earning lots in Mainland, won't be back in HK until next year

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Jessica Hsuan is fluent in both English and Mandarin, and depends on this skill to develop her career in the Mainland and Singapore markets. In Mainland, she shoots Mandarin dramas, whereas in Singapore she shoots dramas in English. As her schedule is so tight, she will be shooting two Mainland dramas and is closely earning the Yuan. She won't be able to shoot any Hong Kong series until next year.

Late October, Jessica is estimated to be back in Hong Kong to promote for TVB series Curse of the Royal Harem. It is unknown whether she will be able to participate in the promotions or not though. Early November, Jessica will rush back to Shanghai to shoot a 30 episode modern series. Asked when she'll be back in HK to shoot another series? She said let nature take its course. Recently the TV industry has been involved in a poaching crisis, Jessica feels her manager will arrange all her needs and the places she will be shooting. However, the earliest she can shoot a HK series is next year. After being in the industry for so long, Jessica feels the desire to go out, open her eyes and see the world. Recently, Jessica has been focused on Mainland dramas, collaborating with different crews and artists. Its a refreshing feeling for her and creates new sparks, especially with Mainland artists' excellent acting skills. In Mainland there are many aspects that are following closely to Hong Kong, even trying hard to catch up. Of course Hong Kong does have advantages over Mainland in terms of filming conditions, in that she misses collaborating with Bobby Au-Yeung, Sunny Chan and other artists.

Yoyo Mung wants to be infamous for losing a race

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Yesterday Yoyo Mung was at the Shanghai International Racetrack preparing for the Sunday All-Star Charity Race with Niki Chow, Lee San San, Carlos Ng and Chin Ka Lok.

It was Yoyo's first time participating in a race, aside from Go Karts, she has never been in a race before. When she was playing Go Karts, she was usually the loser. She laughed: "My goal is first place. Doesn't matter if it's starting from the top or bottom of the list." Yoyo joked the company told her even if she can't do it, leave a good reputation and be infamous.

Yoyo has had her driver's license for over 10 years, and had always been driving safely. One time because she was rushing to the airport, she was speeding 110kph (~68mph). She laughed and said at the time she felt really pressured, she feels driving is a pleasure and has no interest for speeding.

Once Yoyo was shooting at a racetrack and a driver expressed his desire to take her for a spin, but she declined because earlier Yoyo got into a car accident while driving, now she doesn't dare to speed at all. She said: "This time I'm speeding purely for Charity."

Roy Chow Fired By TVB; Virginia Lok Denies A Cover Up

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Former singer Roy Chow had worked as a music production apprentice in TVB’s music department (TVB Music Limited) up until earlier this year – in May, his contract was suddenly terminated and he was ‘let go’ [fired] by TVB. Earlier, it was reported that Roy was fired for being too nosy – he had reported his boss, music producer Tang Chi Wai (鄧智偉), to Virginia Lok, claiming that producer Tang had opened up a recording studio under a friend’s name and was sourcing TVB’s projects to that studio, thereby possibly gaining a monetary advantage. However, because Tang Chi Wai is a ‘favorite’ of Virginia Lok’s, the issue was ‘swept under the rug’ and Roy ended up being fired.

[Oriental Daily] contacted Roy for clarification on the issue. He admitted that TVB had terminated his contract: “I had done wrong in the past and paid dearly for it, so I was worried that being involved with such potentially ‘problem’ projects as a TVB employee could get me in trouble – therefore, I asked Ms Lok whether it was ok to do so. Ms Lok replied back asking me why there would be a problem and told me not to stir up so much trouble.” Roy expressed that a friend suggested that he report the matter to the ICAC, but because of his faith [TN: he’s a born-again Christian], he didn’t want to pursue the issue further, so he just let things be. Not long after that, he received a warning letter from the company saying that his performance was unsatisfactory and he was told to contact his immediate supervisor Tang Chi Wai. Roy stated: “I called him as requested, but he did not answer my phone call – later on, the Human Resources department contacted me and said that due to my inability to communicate with my supervisor, my contract was being terminated. Luckily, I was able to find another job; currently, I’m working for the government creating music teaching material – the pay is very good and we [my family] are not experiencing financial problems.”

When Virginia Lok was contacted about Roy’s case, her ‘version’ of the story was completely different: “At the end of last year, the music department was ordered to dispatch themesongs to the radio station for airing, however the DJ from that station stated that no songs were received and so pressed us for them. Tang Chi Wai said that he had tasked Roy with the responsibility of dispatching the songs, but Roy didn’t follow his instructions. Therefore, I called Roy in to talk about the issue – he actually thought that I was going to sign a management contract with him, as he wanted to be a singer. He then complained that Tang Chi Wai had a private recording studio, but when I asked him if he had any proof of this, he said he didn’t. I asked Tang Chi Wai and he told me there was no such studio, so I asked the artists administrative department to investigate – they said that there were no problems with the receipts and transaction records. This proves Tang Chi Wai’s innocence – I did not cover up for him. Also, the entire matter was reported to Stephen Chan as well as the Human Resources department.”

As for Tang Chi Wai himself, he indicated that part of Roy’s responsibility as an apprentice was to dispatch songs to radio stations, but he did not fulfill his responsibilities, therefore the matter was turned over to the Human Resources department to handle. Tang Chi Wai insisted that he did not have his own personal studio and denounced the reports as being false. He also expressed that he will obtain legal advice regarding the matter.

.---.

Roy Chow responds to Virginia Lok’s accusations

Yesterday [last week], Roy accepted an interview with Metro Radio. When he was told of Virginia Lok’s response, he disdainfully stated: “My responsibility is only to write songs – I’ve never heard of ‘dispatching’ songs…what a new concept! Thank you for informing me that I actually have the ability to dispatch songs – I will definitely pay more attention to this area in the future! I actually don’t know what to say – if I had known when taking the job that my responsibility was to dispatch songs, I would have quit on the spot and not taken up the job in the first place.”

Roy emphasized his firing wasn’t because he had problems – at the time, he had complained only because he had the best interests of the company in mind. Roy also expressed that he does not have financial problems, as in addition to his current job, he will also be participating in an evangelistic film and will be releasing a new album in the near future: “My purpose working at TVB was to gain experience and I only received a few thousand dollars base pay. Now that I left, I’ve actually been able to earn a lot more money, as I’m able to accept more work opportunities.”

Fala Chen is happy to get the 'pork award' (consolation award)

Friday, October 21, 2011 Posted by Admin 0 comments
Fala Chen, Kate Tsui, Samantha Ko and Toby Chan were ribbon-cutting guests for the grand opening of a handbag store. There were no security personnel on site, nor were there any railing to separate the guests and the reporters. This caused a huge confusion because many ran up towards the 4 beauties. It was fortunate that no one was hurt.

Fala is one of this year's hot favorites for TV Queen, but recently her popularity has been overshadowed by Myolie Wu. Also, Myolie's new series is broadcasting soon, and this will boost the momentum. Fala expressed aside from Myolie, there are other female artists who are very popular as well and have high chances to win. She personally does not mind who wins the award, even if its a beef or pork (consolation awards), it will still be fine.

As for Charmaine Sheh's recent rumor that she's implementing the TVB FaDan poaching for Ricky Wong. All along, Fala has been in touch with Charmaine privately, did she receive an invitation from Charmaine too? Fala expressed she does meet up with Charmaine in their personal lives, but Charmaine has never mentioned anything regarding the poach. Also, she still has a contract with TVB and does not believe the rumors. Kate also expressed she does not believe Charmaine would take such actions. She said she has received Ricky Wong's call but not Charmaine's call.

He said that he has always been a YOUNG AND DANGEROUS (GOO WAT JAI) fan and envious of Dior Cheng Yi Kin's chance to play Chan Ho Nam. This time he finally fulfilled his dream of playing a Wise Guy. Now he had to lose weight as he hoped to shape up. Earlier when he made a Mainland film his weight rose to 170 pounds and his face was much rounder.

Linda Chung and Edwin Siu Kiss Underneath A Table

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Linda Chung (鍾嘉欣), Steven Ma (馬浚偉), and Edwin Siu (蕭正楠)filmed for TVB series, Lucky Father "當旺爸爸" yesterday. The scene spoke of Linda and Edwin inadvertently sharing a romantic kiss underneath a table. Steven Ma revealed that he was still discussing his early contract termination request with TVB, hoping to settle the issue before heading to mainland China.

Steven Ma, Linda Chung, and Edwin Siu filmed at a restaurant in the Tsim Sha Tsui district yesterday. In Lucky Father, the trio was embroiled in a love triangle. In the scene filmed, Linda realized that Steven’s character possessed a cough and offered a piece of candy to him. However, Linda accidentally dropped the candy and when Edwin tried to pick up the candy, he “accidentally” kissed her on the mouth instead!

Asked whether he had refreshed his mouth prior to the kissing scene, Edwin laughed, “No, there’s no need to do so.” (Did it feel good to kiss Linda?) “Why don’t you ask her?” Linda replied, “We only brushed lips lightly. This is a light-hearted comedy, so there will not be any overly passionate scenes.”

Encouraged Raymond Lam to Become More Mature After Heartbreak

The reporter asked Linda whether she had tried to comfort rumored ex-love, Raymond Lam (林峯),after he admitted in suffering hurt feelings [since bed photos with Mavis Pan 潘霜霜 surfaced]. Linda said, “I hope he recovers soon. It is good for a young man to have more experience.” (To make Raymond more mature?) “Yes, that applies too.” (Did Linda offer Raymond her sympathy?) “If we were to see each other and he mentions the issue, then I will offer my sympathy.”

Steven Ma Blunt on Departure

Steven Ma revealed that he will be heading to mainland China for filming later and thus, will not be attending the TVB Anniversary celebrations. Asked about the progress in discussing his early contract termination with TVB, Steven noted, “TVB put in a lot of efforts to discuss the matter with me. The process has been enjoyable. I hope that the path for the future will be settled prior to my mainland trip. Once a decision has been reached, I will announce it to everyone.” (Did City Telecom’s Chairman, Ricky Wong 王維基, seek you out?) “I did meet with him and consider it as a chance to meet a new friend.”

During an outtake scene between Edwin Siu and Linda Chung, a production crew member wanted to induce a relaxed atmosphere and joked, “Relax, someone please hurry with the ‘parting glances’ (離別秋波)!” Upon which, Steven Ma immediately corrected, “It’s not parting, but impending departure (臨別秋波) instead!” Steven’s words were full of overtones!

Nicholas Tse: “Cecilia Cheung Is Still My Good Friend!”

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Wearing a black leather jacket and riding a motorcycle at a promotional event in Shanghai the day before yesterday, Nicholas Tse (謝霆鋒) was asked about his two sons, Lucas and Quintus, by the media. Breaking his normal silence, Nicholas replied frankly and even indicated that he was still good friends with Cecilia Cheung (張栢芝) after their divorce!

Asked if Lucas or Quintus were to fall sick and how the situation would be handled, Nicholas smiled and said that he will allow Cecilia to take care of the situation. “We are still good friends. She is also in Shanghai filming right now. Perhaps I will return to Hong Kong to visit my sons.” Apparently, Nicholas and Cecilia remained in touch and had a very good relationship despite their divorce.

Staying in Hong Kong for Only One Day

Shortly before 1 PM yesterday, Nicholas was spotted at the Hong Kong airport dressed in an orange T-shirt and wearing sunglasses. He indicated that he had flown from Shanghai to Hong Kong. Asked whether he was there to celebrate his mother, Deborah Li’s (狄波拉)birthday, Nicholas did not answer and hurriedly left. At that moment, an elderly woman requested in Mandarin to take a photo with Nicholas, while mistaking him for Raymond Lam (林峯).

Nicholas’ return to Hong Kong was quite hurried, as tomorrow, he will need to fly to Hefei, China to attend the 2011 Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, where he will be issuing the Best Actor award. After completing his work, Nicholas will then return to Hong Kong again to celebrate his mother’s birthday.

In November, Nicholas will fly to Shanghai to film Derek Yee’s (爾冬陞) new movie. Nicholas has already completed the filming of mainland series, The Next Miracle "下一個奇迹" in which a photo featuring Nicholas rescuing his beautiful costar has been exposed.

New Boss Denies Pursuing Cecilia Cheung

Since filing for divorce, Cecilia Cheung has been embroiled in numerous gossips. Recently, Cecilia was rumored to be romantically pursued by her management company, AEG Group’s boss, Yu Yuxing (余毓興). Yesterday, Yu Yuxing clarified, “The rumors are entirely false and absurd! I am simply friends with Cecilia Cheung!” Mr. Yu hoped that the rumors did not affect their family and their own reputations. Mr. Yu’s lawyer has already issued letters on libel grounds in order to clarify the matter.

As for Cecilia Cheung taking vacation for no apparent reason, Mr. Yu supported her, “You can ask the production crew. Everyone is very satisfied with her. We do not know what led to the circulation of the rumors!” Mr. Yu lashed out that the rumors were fabricated from nothing.

It was revealed that Yoyo and Vincent filed for marriage papers on October 7th. There is not a lot of time left and they could not secure a larger venue for their wedding. The date of the marriage registration and wedding reception are only two days apart! Now that Yoyo is pregnant, they will follow Chinese tradition and not move at this sensitive time, choosing to will wait until after the baby is born,” Vincent’s close friend revealed.

Ruco Chan Pockets $500,000 in 3 Months, Becomes New Darling Among Advertisers

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Despite the poaching battle for TVB artists, Ruco Chan (陳展鵬), who rose to sudden popularity after leading for the first time in The Other Truth "真相", was not part of the current recruitment efforts among rival television stations. He could only focus on doing his own job well at TVB. Three months after signing a management contract with TVB in August 2011, he has already earned his salary worth of $500,000 HKD, proving that there were a lot of monetary opportunities waiting at TVB too!

Earning His Worth in 3 Months

After working at ATV for six years, 34-year-old Ruco Chan joined TVB in 2008. Achieving immense popularity after the airing of The Other Truth, Ruco became highly promoted by TVB. Producer Amy Wong (王心慰) substantially increased Ruco’s screen time in ATF Counter Terrorism Unit "ATF反恐" and cast him as the male lead actor, causing Ron Ng (吳卓羲) to step aside. A month ago, Ruco signed a TVB management contract with an annual salary of $500,000 HKD.

After completing ATF Counter Terrorism Unit in September, Ruco fully immersed in earning “real” money, appearing at restaurant performances, mall promotions, travel agency shows, and insurance seminars, accepting all forms of short-term advertising. In the last two months, Ruco took on nearly twenty outside jobs, excluding his normal filming requirements and appearances in TVB variety programs. His income from these outside shows already amounted to $500,000 HKD, allowing Ruco to achieve his salary target within three months. Any additional jobs will become incremental income.

Fans Fighting To Kiss Him

Ruco revealed, “Many jobs were offered to me after the broadcast of The Other Truth, such as the insurance seminar. The insurance company felt that my lawyer image was deeply ingrained [in the public’s minds] and was convinced I possessed the adequate life-experience, since the press dubbed me as a ‘dead fish revived after 17 years.’ As for the Alainmikli optical ad, many customers called to ask about their glasses after I wore the brand in The Other Truth. Thus, Alainmikli decided to ask me to film an advertisement for their optical line.”

Staying at TVB posed a lucky streak for Ruco Chan. On October 12th, Ruco appeared as a guest performer at god-sister, Suzan Guterres’ (李麗霞) concert. In the same evening, Ruco flew to Melbourne, Australia to appear as a special guest at a local Asian beauty pageant. Closely following will be appearances in Macau, Zhuhai, Malaysia, and Vancouver.

At Suzan Guterres’ concert, Ruco was the first performer to appear due to his need to take a subsequent flight to Australia. Ruco sang Latent "潛伏", the theme song to The Other Truth and Jacky Cheung’s (張學友) Unwilling to Let You Go "怎麼捨得你". Ruco and god-sister Suzan Guterrez sang the duet, Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow "明天你是否依然愛我", after which a large group of female fans rushed to the side of the stage to offer lucky packets, hugging and kissing him. Ruco was very responsive to his fans.

Three Series On Hand

At 9 PM that evening, Ruco arrived at the Hong Kong airport while accompanied by his manager to take an 11 PM flight to Melbourne, Australia. Ruco’s excited fans rushed to the airport via taxicabs to bid farewell to him.

In December, Ruco will be filming TVB series, Big Eunuch "大太監" with Wayne Lai (黎耀祥) and Maggie Cheung (張可頤). After which, Ruco will film The Miscellaneous Morsels from Youyang "酉陽雜俎" with Bosco Wong (黃宗澤)and Aimee Chan (陳茵媺). Including ATF Counter Terrorism Unit, Ruco will have three series on hand. Perhaps he will attain even greater opportunities in the coming year!

Charmaine Sheh rumored assisting Ricky Wong in poaching, company issues statement to clarify

Posted by lucychoi559 0 comments
TVB FaDan Charmaine Sheh switched over to the Mainland market and signed with a new company, 'ArtExpress'. However, she is still under a TVB 'per-series' contract. Recently it was reported Charmaine changed her mind and enters the poaching tide and entices other TVB artists to sign with Ricky Wong. Catherine Chau also follows her good friend and decided not to renew her TVB contract, which expires this month (October). It was also rumored Charmaine targeted Tavia Yeung as well, helping Ricky Wong get Tavia over to be his front line FaDan. Earlier Ricky Wong personally invited Bowie Lam out for a meal, while Joe Ma and Michael Tao are also his targets. Charmaine was accused of being the leader in the poaching and is now known as the 'betrayer'. Yesterday Charmaine's management company ArtExpress Production (創藝製作) issued a statement to the media clarifying the rumors.

Yesterday ArtExpress Production issued a statement, an excerpt is below:

QUOTE
"We, ArtExpress, and City TeleCom's relationship is purely a business decision made by us. The collaboration is to provide greater room for development for our local artists. Ms. Charmaine Sheh has not participated in any of our business decisions or operations. The issue has innocently led to Ms. Sheh's involvement. ArtExpress extends our deepest apologies. We hope that the media will publish friendly reports in the future and do not use insulting words to harm innocent artists for the sake of a sensational report. Before publishing subjective opinions and content, please take the necessary steps to understand the entire situation before taking any action."

The statement also mentioned the fabricated news damages Charmaine and ArtExpress reputation and the related parties reserve the right to take legal action.

Reporters contacted Charmaine about her assistance to Ricky Wong in poaching TVB artists. Her manager Tina responded and expressed Charmaine has been in Mainland shooting a new drama all along and basically isn't aware of the situation at all. She and TVB still has a per-series contract, therefore this rumor has made it awkward for her. In November, Charmaine's When Heaven Burns will be releasing, she also hopes to take time off her schedule to participate in the HK promotions. The relationship between Charmaine and TVB is very positive.

As if Charmaine's good friend Catherine Chau is following her up north too? Tina said Catherine's contract ends late October and she will announce her future direction herself.

Asked about the form of collaboration between ArtExpress and City Telecom? Does 'providing artists greater room for development' as mentioned in the statement include work in City TeleCom? Tina said this is just a business collaboration, and there will be announcements later. However, Charmaine is independent, so she will not affect the business collaborations. Later, Charmaine exposed on Weibo that she's hurt. Tina said she just fell, nothing serious.

It was also reported Ricky Wong poached Ghetto Justice's editor and Lives of Omission's director to prepare the production of a new ghost-themed series.

'The Gods' charges into HK Coliseum next year, a dream come true

Posted by lucychoi559 0 comments
Together Wong Cho Lam, Louis Yuen, Johnson Lee makes up the group "Fuk Luk Sau" (The Gods) and since the group was formed, they are known as the number 1 imitators. Aside for TV show and films, TVB made their series Super Snoops as one of this year's anniversary series. The latest update for The Gods is they will be holding a Hong Kong Coliseum concert during the Lunar New Year holiday in February next year. As last year's concert only had 7,500 seats, this time they will be opening up all four stages in HK Coliseum to entertain 14,000 audience. Although tentatively set for only 1 show, The Gods still felt pressure. However, with a chance in life to hold a HK Coliseum concert, even if they were just holding half a show, they will still be happy.

The Gods already called Liza Wang to invite her as a guest, but unfortunately Liza is very busy next year and also she doesn't like repeating events, so she declined to the offer. They laughed: "This time we won't have an 'adult' to watch over us, I'm scared!"

Vows loyalty to TVB

They expressed to keep 'The Gods', they decided to devote their loyalty to TVB: "If there was no TVB, then there would not be The Gods. We hope we can follow Super Trio and Lydia Shum's footsteps. We want to be Hong Kong's Happy Fruit. Of course, we have to find a TV station to represent HK, and TVB gave us this opportunity to develop, so we will not leave them." When speaking of the pay raise? Cho Lam said: "Congrats to all those colleagues that got a raise. My greatest raise is actually all the outside jobs TVB found for me, such as movies and advertisements. This is where I earn the most." Aside from earning money in TVB, asked if his other greatest earn was girlfriend Leanne Li? He laughed: "We will have to ask her. Perhaps she thinks it's a loss!"

Does not want TVB to give special award

Super Snoops has been well received by audience since it's broadcast. The Gods joked and said the greatest response is also the most terrifying: "Even kids can sing and dance to the sub theme Foolishly Going to Buy Noodles (戇戇居居去買麵). We really should consider starting a children's show, perhaps call it The Gods Fax Machine or The Gods School's Out." Do they hope TVB will give them an award as a group? The Gods felt: "That feels too deliberate. Each year we attend the awards ceremony not because of the awards, but because it is important that the show goes well. We might not remember who won what awards in what year, but when asked of the funniest year or the most playful year, we will definitely remember. Why not, we just present the group award to the team of Executives!"

Donnie Yen's son surprises him

Posted by Admin 0 comments
Donnie Yen Chi Tan recently accepted a CNN program TALK ASIA interview and discussed his road to success, action film changes over the years and the possibility of IP MAN 3 with host Kristie Lu Stout. Chi Tan even admitted that his family was his pillar and motivation. The program will air in Hong Kong, Singapore and Taipei simultaneously.

Chi Tan since his first film at age 19 has made over 50 films. This 48 year old actor has already become one of the most prominent ace superstar in the Asian film industry, in particular his performance in IP MAN received rave reviews. Chi Tan analyzed the film's success. "Several decades ago when we watched Bruce Lee action films, they were focused on showing masculinity. Yet recently they tended to focus on gentle men who put family first. He was a very passive person, which I thought attracted many female viewers. This was also the reason that this film performed so ideally and exceeded past kung fu films." As for the possibility of IP MAN 3, Chi Tan said, "In the next two years I have to explore and thoroughly utilize every opportunity and try different characters to see how far I can go, then I may possibly consider making IP MAN 3!"

Chi Tan since age four has studied martial art with his mother, but currently he has not instructed his children. Yet when he saw his four year old son James' natural martial art talent he still could not hide his joy inside. He said, "James could punch and kick all day, I don't know where he learned it from. He never watches my movies, but he indeed has natural talent in this area. He can pretend to kick like he has been studying martial art since he was born." In order to spend more time with his family, Chi Tan decided not to make any movie for half a year. Only recently has he returned to work on movies and his schedule has already been jam packed. Chi Tan said, "I have to thank different directors and investors for giving me so many opportunities, but due to limited schedules I have to make sacrifices. Now my schedule has already been filled until the end of next year."

Chi Tan once was the action director or actor on many Hollywood films. He said that in Hollywood he coordinated the action then let the directors and photographers adjust camera positions, but this way was not too desirable. In Hong Kong, stunt coordinator would also serve as action director. He had complete control and could alone or with his team coordinate the action and put the cameras in where he thought the result would be the best. In addition, Chi Tan won Best Actor with THE LOST BLADESMAN (GUAN WONG CHEUNG) at the International Filmmaker Film Festival in Scotland.
