Candy Law praised Miss Asia 2008 contestants

13 contestants for the Miss Asia Beauty Pageant 2008 were having their training on table manners by Candy Law (ex Miss Asia) yesterday. Reporter found out Belinda Yan (7) was wearing a tongue ring. Belinda said a lot of people in Toronto wear tongue rings, she hopes the judges won't mark her down for that. Frances To (6) can speak 5 languages including Cantonese, Mandarin, English, Japanese and French. She said she will try her best and she would look upon Candy Law as her role model.
When Candy saw the contestants for the first time, she praised them for their quality. She reckoned after training, they would be perfect. In particular, there are 5 to 6 contestants who are outstanding. She is hoping among the Hong Kong contestants, there would at least one who could get into the top 3 position. The criteria for judging include presentation, manner and verbal communication. The most inmportant quality is confident. Yesterday she was teaching the contestants about skincare and general knowledge.Source: MingPao
